Gene Cafe swing arm blade cushion. Also referred to as "rubber bumpers", this part reduces the shock of the blade in the chamber. The blade cushions will wear out faster if you are preheating an empty roast chamber.

Sold in packs of 4 units, or bulk quantities of 10.

Temperature variation and bumper failure

The Gene roast pretty good, but I’ve had 3 bumper failures. Also, the temperature varies as much as 20 degrees at the top end. Once it hits the roast temperature the heat shuts down to some preset value when it kicks on again.
I still get good tasting coffee . Looking for a more stable roaster that has a computer interface.

Quick, easy fix of the swing arm cushion, but these little rubber pieces are extremely pricey and need constant replacement.
