PARTS RESTOCK ESTIMATED 4/20

CBR-101 ROAST CHAMBER

Sold Out

High temp plastic and pyrex roasting chamber. (Chamber stand sold separately.)

Please note the design of the inlet end, which has ridges cut into both sides of the bottom. Early versions of the CBR-101 will not take this style chamber.  In order to replace the chamber, the inlet damper would need to be replaced as well.

I have issues…

The easiest thing to break on a $700 machine and no one can get a replacement. Remarkably, new units containing the same part are readily available. It’s not that it’s not in stock, it’s that taking care of existing owners is less important than getting new owners. My gene cafe is a $700 desk ornament at this point. Very much regretting my purchase of the gene cafe.

Thanks for your review. Our parts restock should be around April 20th. We do our best to anticipate demand for spare parts, but sometimes they sell out faster than we expect. We only bring in parts quarterly via ocean freight as that is the only way to keep costs reasonable. I encourage you to sign up for the restock alert on the roast chamber product page, as it seems demand is high this month. Thank you for your patience.

Gene Cafe - Loving it

I've spent years roasting beans in various (cheap) ways. I found a lightly used Gene Cafe - CBR 101 for a great price but wanted to have a spare drum. I ordered from genecafeusa.com and it arrived promptly. For anyone who enjoys roasting your own beans and has been dabbling, I recommend taking the plunge into the Gene Cafe. You will get consistent and evenly roasted coffee. Even if you don't stick with it, the resale value is great!

replaced after 10 years and 350 pounds roasted

My original chamber's rubber o-ring in the bottom came loose from time to time, thanks to my shop vac cleaning. oops. I was jamming it back into place for a while. Then decided I should just get a new on. Arrived in perfect condition and fit. Nice to see such clear glass again! So happy to have access to these parts! Arrived very quickly too!

My Gene Cafe coffee roaster has been a workhorse. I've had the machine for well over 6 years and have roasted hundreds of pounds of coffee beans. When my roasting chamber needed to be replaced recently, I ordered a new one from Gene cafe USA. Not only was it in stock, I received it within a few days. Excellent product & excellent service!
