I've had my roaster for 7 years I believe. A couple of weeks ago it would just shut off on its own and never heated up. I looked at reviews and decided to try this assembly. There are videos that walk you through taking the unit apart and replacing the assembly. Pretty much a no-brainer and my roaster works like a champ again. Thank you!

Revived my eleven year old roaster

Thanks for providing the repair part and excellent instructional video. My roaster stopped heating after eleven years of weekly use. The part arrived in a couple of days and with the help of the video I was able to revive the machine in time for my next weekly batch.

Got the roaster working again

We bought the roaster so long ago - perhaps 15 years? - and other than the flapper door needing repair a long time ago, there were no issues. However, it suddenly would not heat. We emailed with the service department several times trying to determine what it might be. They kept answering, but never really did guide us as to what it likely was. So, we decided to go with a new heating element, temperature probe and a new fuse (fuse was because we were ordering anyway). We didn't use the fuse, but replaced the other items and we were back to roasting our coffee again. Bottom line, be sure to keep the screws separated by area and just go for it!

Great tech service!

It’s great having the parts available to repair an older machine, and even better having responsive and knowledgeable tech service providers and instructional videos to help with the diagnostics and installation of those parts.

I *really* appreciate that Gene Cafe stocks parts and helps you diagnose and fix problems. So few companies stock parts, maybe hoping you’ll just buy a new product. I’m even more impressed that they stock heating elements for their older roasters.
The videos to install the new roaster were just what I needed. One tip: it’s easy to damage the small plastic motor gear. If I had it to do over, I might’ve purchased a new one when I bought the heating element.
