Keeps on roasting

Only problem was that it was out of stock for so long, due to pandemic.

Gave my old roaster a new life

My aging roaster gave up the ghost in the middle of roasting up a batch and I was initially afraid that it was a goner but after perusing the Gene Cafe web site I was able to determine that the heater assembly was the culprit. A new heater assembly fixed the problem and I am happily back to roasting again.

Heater fixed it

My gene cafe had stopped working. I was thinking of upgrading sine mine was about 12 years old. I had got a new roast chamber and a fan and it still was not right but Dylan in support assured me a heater was the problem. I am back to roasting excellent coffee and have nothing but praise for support.

Works but new problem

Heating element seems to work fine but I now have a new problem. At about 464 degrees Fahrenheit roasting for about 12 minutes the whole unit shut down or stopped. I couldn’t do anything except wait for a few minutes to then run the unit on cool down to not overheat any parts. I sent a message and am waiting for a fix.

Still Not Reaching Roasting Temp

Troubleshooting strongly suggested the heating element was degraded. Replacement easy to install. However, the roaster still stalls at about 385 degrees Fahrenheit. Hmmm. Not sure what to go after now.
