Worked perfectly so I can keep my roaster going

Easy enough!

What a great company to have parts and service for this well designed roaster. I had replaced a heating element 9 years ago and last week my unit stopped heating again. 9 years is great; I immediately thought "heating element." I followed the troubleshooting instructions and ended up ordering the heating element - but it was not the problem afterall!

I wanted to add this test for others --- the best way to diagnose this heater is to apply 120V to it directly. Unhook it, take a two-pronged plug with wire, and stick stripped ends into the leaPlug it is and give it a few seconds - if it's working it will get hot. Simple! I don't think that the company can suggest that, but I can! Don't do this unless you are confidently scared of live 120V current. Unfortunately I did not think of that until I had bought the new one, but now I have a spare.

I ended up buying a new power supply card. Again, quick, inexpensive, and easy.

Pretty Good Service

I asked to have the device sent to another address than mine, it got there on time and in great condition. Fixed the equipment in a couple of hours and we are in business!!

CBR-101 HEATER ASSEMBLY (120v) - Pre 2017

This was my second or third replacement. They periodically fail.

CBR-101 Heater

Important to keep in stock...especially for the longer lead wire model for earlier roasters. Like with any nichrome wire appliance, the nichrome heater wire burns out eventually. With a ten dollar toaster, you just throw it away and replace wirh a new toaster. Not too cost effective to throw away a $700 roaster when it happens. I've burned out three heaters over the years, but it's been almost twenty years! Should be an addendum to the instructions...."back to back roasting will shorten the life of the heater assembly".
