What a great company to have parts and service for this well designed roaster. I had replaced a heating element 9 years ago and last week my unit stopped heating again. 9 years is great; I immediately thought "heating element." I followed the troubleshooting instructions and ended up ordering the heating element - but it was not the problem afterall!
I wanted to add this test for others --- the best way to diagnose this heater is to apply 120V to it directly. Unhook it, take a two-pronged plug with wire, and stick stripped ends into the leaPlug it is and give it a few seconds - if it's working it will get hot. Simple! I don't think that the company can suggest that, but I can! Don't do this unless you are confidently scared of live 120V current. Unfortunately I did not think of that until I had bought the new one, but now I have a spare.
I ended up buying a new power supply card. Again, quick, inexpensive, and easy.
