Chamber separator

Quick easy repair … wouldn’t use the roaster without the rubber bumpers, afraid it would damage the glass…

CHAMBER SEPARATER

Unfortunately, the separator plate arrived with a defect in the wiper blade attachment points. The small wire loops used to attache the wiper blade to the plate have different diameters. The wire loop located adjacent to the air exhaust port has the larger diameter. This results in a wiper blade off set and unable to wipe chaff from the exhaust port. My attempts to tighten this tiny wire were not successful. The result is often a completely chaff bridged exhaust port. Therefore, the roast temperatures are unreliable.

I anxiously wait for suggestions you have. My plan is to provide a much better rating once this issue is resolved. Sincerely

Need a better Video

You asked for a message, here it is. Love your product. Love it. Your replacement video, that, despite many comments complaint that you do not give clear instructions to the removal of the existing divider you have not updated despite the short time to reshot? Stress inducing and frustrating. Just say, brute force pull the old one out. All that is needed.

If a split ring fails, try this!

After ten years of use one of the rings that suspends the chaff sweep/swing blade wore through, and replacement Chamber Separators were back-ordered. My local hardware store had no split rings small-enough to make the fix. Then I remembered that I had some Danielson #3 stainless split rings with fishing tackle. These were slightly larger than the original split rings at 5mm inner diameter and 6 mm outer diameter, but are fine and were less-difficult to install than smaller rings. It certainly seemed hazardous to use the roaster with only one ring: thwack! On the glass! Tip: pull out the chamber separator for easier access, separate the end of the ring from the rest of the coiled ring with a pin, then slowly work the ring onto the blade arm, then repeat, attaching it to the swing blade with needle-nose pliers. Perfect! I replaced both rings and have eight more that can be used in the future.
