CBR-101 POWER CORD

Replacement was straightforward, although the strain relief proved a minor challenge (hint: get a strain relief tool...).

Perfect replacement part at very reasonable price. Repair video was a great tutorial fir disassembly.

I really like using the Gene Cafe Coffee Roaster. They are reliable and can be rebuilt fairly easy. I own two roasters, and the first roaster has been online since 2006. Power Cords seen to last about three years before becoming burnt and brittle. If you’re replacing your power cord consider replacing the fuse holder and rebuilding the jumper that runs from the fuse housing and runs to the power board. Take a piece out of the old cord near the plug to use for the jumper. They don’t sell jumpers but they can be built with 6.3 mm spade connectors.

I had other issues that required me to remove the bottom. While removing the bottom i noticed the power cord was exposed at the entrance to the roaster. It could have arced and shorted out. One fix action leads to two corrections.

Needed to replace the power cord to my 11 yr old Gene Cafe. This cord was what I needed.
