Coffee Bean Cooler

$ 100.00 $ 125.00

From Gene Cafe, the Coffee Bean Cooler, for fast external cooling. This cooling tray runs on 120v power supply, and quickly cools down 8 oz batches of coffee.

The CBR-101 has it's own built-in cooling cycle, however, this cooling fan is a nice tool for users that like to stop the roaster at the end of the roasting cycle, and cool externally.

    • Power Supply: 120V
    • Warranty: 12 months
    • 8.54" x 9.84" x 5.31"

    Gene Cafe cooler

    Love the fact that I can now roast multiple batches straight. The cooler is designed to draw the air trough the roasted coffee collecting any chat that didn't get expelled through the roasting process to the bottom of the screened tray that the coffee lays in. This feature on this cooler is great. The only thing I would have liked better from Gene Cafe was a cooler designed to receive the whole roasting chamber. I would however recommend investing in this cooler you won't regret it. Best regards Rob

    Does the job

    I purchased the unit from Gene Cafe as they represent the machine. I probably could have found one cheaper but I did not want to gamble. It cools the beans very fast.

    Works as advertised

    quality fan w quality build; I see fans from good companies at cheaper price point; so I am unsure if $100 was a bit much but the fact that GeneCafe stood by it as a recommended product to sell was comforting.

    Bean cooler

    Have been wanting one for a while. So glad I pulled the trigger. I love it. Just pour the roasted hot beans in and turn it in on. Couple of minutes cool beans.

    Worth Every Penny!

    Well, i finally broke down and purchased the GeneCafe coffee bean cooler, and i can honestly say that i should have made this purchase several years earlier! I've been roasting on the GeneCafe 101 for over 15 years now, and have been relying on my freezer to get a quick cooldown for my beans when roasting multiple batches. That does only OK, but the big drawback is that it causes tons of condensation crystals to form over everything else in the freezer. Pain. In. The. Butt! My first time using the new bean cooler,, i had no idea how quick the cooldown would actually be. Lo and behold, it took less than a single minute to get the beans down from a temp of 400 degrees to less than 100! Color me impressed! I also suspect that the rapid rate of cooling the beans after the roast even resulted in enhanced flavor retention of the beans, themselves! That's hard to say for sure, but my subsequent roasts have all been superior to the beans i've cooled in my freezer. My only complaint is that the volume capacity of the GeneCafe been cooler is a bit small. It does hold 1/2 pound, but just barely. I'd appreciate a cooler screen with 3/4 lb capacity to help ease the transfer of hot beans into the tray to begin with. Other than that, though, i'm thoroughly impressed with this product, and can't recommend it strongly enough.
