CBR-101 CHAFF COLLECTOR

Sooo... I just kept making more Vienna and Full City... and after 4 batches... there was more... smoke... than usual... but I didn't even think to check the chaff... duh. Soon there were flames... so I shutdown the machine, and was able to remove the (now partially melted) chaff collector... the design is actually quite good in this regard since you can have a fire that melts the connector but doesn't damage the Gene Cafe because the connection to the unit has two layers of material and the collector itself will melt off of the gene cafe before melting the unit itself;) Don't try this at home;) I was outdoors and the unit is inside my BBQ when I roast coffee - and I have BBQ gloves to help - but still... Empty The Chaff EVERY Batch like it says;)

I bought a Gene Cafe CBR101 from someone and it was missing the chaff collector but otherwise in like new condition. I was so glad to find exactly what I needed in the chaff collector and received it quickly. It works and gets all the chaff just like it is supposed to. Thank you for your great product and quick service.

I greatly enjoy roasting my own coffee, and the Gene Cafe machine makes it SO easy to indulge in my hobby. However, after doing a roast during a cold-weather snap and doing a cleanout of the chaff collector, I noticed that the "stack" part of the collector came off way too easily. A closer look revealed that one of the 'tabs' that held it in place had broken off. Not sure when or how that happened, but it was easy to order a replacement, and that replacement part came faster than I could have imagined.

I feel the Gene Cafe roaster is an EXCELLENT product, and the support given by the manufacturer is equally excellent. The device MORE than meets my needs as a hobbyist; I can't envision needing another coffee roaster unless I decide to turn pro, and roast coffee on a commercial scale.

My older model GeneCafe roaster needed a new chaff collector. It shipped the day I ordered it and arrived a day before it was expected.
It fits my model so I am ready to roast agiain.

Having had a small fire in the original chaff collector, due to my error of not emptying it after multiple roasting runs. I ordered this replacement. It arrived in a surprising few days and was in every way a duplicate, exactly fitting the exhaust port of the Gene Cafe.
