What more could a body ask?

As a new Gene owner, I was remiss, and after an E Stop to charge the beans, I failed to make sure that the roast chamber was locked in tightly before restart. The result was a wedged roast chamber and two melted side covers. When I visited the web site, I discovered that, due to COVID-19 the spare parts inventory at GeneCafeUSA was depleted. I wrote the Service Department and asked to be put on a wait list for the parts. They did, the parts arrived shortly thereafter, I was notified, ordered the parts and several days later they arrived and were installed. Couldn’t ask for anything more. Very satisfied!

exact replacement

Exact part I needed, the original one apparently warped and was snapped off, causing a jam and broke the motor gear. Luckily, the parts were all available and the roaster is as good as new.

Great design and great customer service.

I once had a $200 NESCO roaster that got a little hot. It turned in to a pile of junk. No parts available and no way to get fixed. Recently, I thought I had switched my Gene Cafe into cooling mode but was mistaken. I walked away for a while and came back to find my side covers melted down. I thought my fan might have gone out. I emailed GC-USA and the next morning a technician called me. He walked me through testing to make sure my fan was OK, told me how to replace side covers, and even gave me some roasting advice. The total parts were $22 and roaster is good as new. Great product and great company.

So easy to install

I watched the you tube video on how to temove the lid and steel plate to install the collar. I actually snapped into place as I was lining it up...like it installed itself. Thanks Cafe Gene for the video, I have ten thumbs and this was a breeze. Now I'm back to roasting the best coffee in the world.
