CBR-101 PCB POWER ASSEMBLY
$ 24.00
Replacement power control board for CBR-101.
I've had my roaster for about 15 years. Replacing the PCB Power assembly worked to get it going again. The problem was easy to diagnose (0V coming from the power terminals on the PCB) , part came quickly, and a quick friendly response from Kevin confirmed that this was likely the cause of failure before I ordered the part.
I described the symptoms - the motor ran, no E10 error, but no heat. ad 10.8 Ohms on the heater. But the power reading from the unit spiked at 120v but quickly when down to inconsistent <10volts.They confirmed that it's probably the power supply. Got it very quickly. It was easy to replace, that's what it was and now I'm back in business. The original lasted 15 years, so no complaints.
I had a heating failure on my almost 20 yo Gene Cafe and needed to expedite the parts to fix the issue. After chatting w/ technical service I decided the extra cost of the power assembly was outweighed by my ability to get my roaster up and running sooner.
Turned out to be the heater.
Unit wasn't heating. Wasn't sure what was wrong: meter readings made no sense. The heater was reading the right resistance, so I guessed that it was the power unit since everything else was functioning. And the power unit was the cheapest part. It worked!
condition: running, no heat in middle of roast, no error codes
pulled little circuit board (power supply board) found bad solder joint on heater relay. Ordered new board, while waiting on shipping, re-soldered relay to circuit board and was back in business luckily / surprisingly.. Will keep new board in spare parts bin.
